Buren 'Luther' was born on October 6th, 1891 in Seth, Boone Co., West Virginia.1 Buren 'Luther''s father was Nathan 'Buren' Basham and his mother was Margaret Ellen Brinkley. His paternal grandparents were Nathan (Rev) Basham and Missouri Jane Miller. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Arley Julius, Arnold Edgar, Henrietta 'Murriel', Columbia Catherine and Vonnie. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ira, John 'Carl', William 'Howard' and Esta Marie. He died at the age of 73 on January 26th, 1965 in Charleston, Kanawha Co., W Va.1 General Notes
