Bertha Walden was born on May 30th, 1900 in Sciotoville, Scioto Co., Ohio.1 Bertha Walden's father was James Gallitan Basham and her mother was Lulu Pierce. Her paternal grandfather was John W. Basham and her paternal grandmother is Florence Hansford. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James Franklin, Ralph Lee, Lloyd Pierce, Carl Edgar, Lucille Shump and Ruth Marie. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 57 on May 20th, 1958 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., Cal.1 General Notes
