Benjamin Harrison (Ben) was born on September 19th, 1888 in Hancock Co., Kentucky.1 Benjamin Harrison (Ben)'s father was Jeremiah Henderson Basham and his mother was Sarah Ellen Higgs. His paternal grandparents were Cary Jackson 'Jack' Basham and Annis Warner; his maternal grandparents were Alfred Higgs and Sarah Jane Calloway. He had ten brothers and six sisters, named Finous, Harvey, Hilous, Eugene C (Gene), Eulace, Edward Otis, Ruthford, Flora, Chester, Harold, Bertha S., Pearl, Carrie, Essie, Anna Lee and Clara Louise. He was the sixth oldest of the seventeen children. He had a half-sister named Mary Jane. He died at the age of 96 on February 5th, 1985 in Clarksville, Clark Co., Indiana.1 General Notes
