Barksdale P. Basham 
Barksdale P. was born on May 9th, 1866 in Clifton Mill, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Barksdale P.'s father was Allen Dowell Basham and his mother was Elizabeth D WOLF. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell. He had three brothers named George Washington, Joseph Dempsey and Thomas McClellan (Tom). He was the youngest of the four children. He had eight half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Francis, Micajah, Daniel James, Henry Dalton, Allen Dowell II, Luther D. (Seth), Robert Houston, Samuel Logan, Mary B. and Paulina Ellen. He died at the age of 43 on September 9th, 1909 in Lodiburg, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 General Notes
