Alva Ray Basham 
Alva Ray was born on February 24th, 1885 in Kentucky.1 Alva Ray's father was Samuel Logan Basham and his mother was Mary Frances (Mollie) Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Allen Dowell Basham and Malinda DALTON. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Ivy Murray, Payton, Frances D, Andrew Logan, Jesse James, Octava, Emily Bessie and Alma Rose. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had three half-brothers named William Allen, Charles Luther and Ernest Everette. He died at the age of 5 on June 27th, 1890.1 General Notes
