Thomas Wright Bacot 
Thomas Wright's father is Peter Bacot and his mother was Elizabeth Harramond. His paternal grandparents were Peter Bacot and Marie Peronneau; his maternal grandparents are Henry Harramond and Elizabeth Muncrief. He had a brother and three sisters, named Peter, Elizabeth Henrietta, Frances and Mary. He died on October 2nd, 1834.1 General Notes

Thomas Wright Bacot was baptized on August 19, 1765.
Thomas was well-educated and highly respected in the community. He al
so h eld the post of President of the Bank of South Carolina for many ye
ar s. He was appointed Postmaster at Charleston by President Washingt
on in 1 794, and served as such continuously until his death for a peri
od of for ty years, being succeeded in the appointment by Alfred Huger.
