Peter Bacot 
Peter was born in 1728 in Goose Creek, South Carolina.1 Peter's father was Peter Bacot and his mother was Marie Peronneau. His paternal grandparents were Pierre Bacot and Jacquine Menessier; his maternal grandparents are Samuel Peronneau and Jeanne Collin. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel, Mary and Elizabeth. He is the youngest of the four children.General Notes

Peter Bacot Jr. left his father's lands and occupation to settle in Char
le ston as a junior partner in the mercantile business of his brother-in-
la w, Charles Dewar. He died a highly respected citizen of Charleston.
