Peter Benjamin was born on November 21st, 1882 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.1 Peter Benjamin's father was Miles Johnson Allen and his mother was Nora Weaver. His paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston; his maternal grandparents are J. E. Weaver and Nancy Unknown. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Miles Newton, Howard Johnson, Daisie, Lottie, Winnie, Ada and Etta. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on January 9th, 1962 in Sugarland, Ft. Bend Co., Texas. He was buried in Allen- Johnston Cementry 4 miles north of Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
