Mary Elizabeth was born on August 28th, 1907 in Rock Springs, Edwards Co., Texas.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was John Linder Allen and her mother was Lottie Caroline Bell. Her paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Michael L., Lottie Uvada, Susan Bell, Audlie A., Alta Alice, Betsy, Ruby Rea and Anna Mae. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 84 on January 27th, 1992 in San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas. She was buried in San Feernando Cemetery #3, San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
