Lora Gertrude was born on September 27th, 1897 in Junction, Kimball, TX.1 Lora Gertrude's father was T. Horton Allen and her mother was Mary C. Martha Sandheer. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin J. Allen and Martha McNutt. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Roy W., Arthur Charles, Mae, Nora, Myrta and Eula. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 68 on February 14th, 1966 in San Angelo, Tom Green, TX. She was buried in Van Horn, Culberson Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
