John Linder Allen 
John Linder was born on August 3rd, 1867 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.1 John Linder's father was James William Allen and his mother was Penelope Johnston. His paternal grandparents were Miles Norton Allen and Mary Penelope Dodson; his maternal grandparents were John L. Johnson and Eliza McGee. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Miles Johnson, Samuel Norton, Jack L., Winifred Margaret, Susan Penelope and Mary Eliza. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 44 on July 12th, 1912 in Edwards, Texas. He was buried in Wallis Public Cemetery, Wallis, Austin co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
