Betsy Allen 
Betsy was born in September 1899 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.1 Betsy's father was John Linder Allen and her mother was Lottie Caroline Bell. Her paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Michael L., Lottie Uvada, Susan Bell, Audlie A., Alta Alice, Ruby Rea, Mary Elizabeth and Anna Mae.
