Benjamin Patterson Allen 
Benjamin Patterson was born in 1854 in Texas.1 Benjamin Patterson's father was Benjamin J. Allen and his mother was Martha McNutt. His paternal grandparents were Martin C. Allen and Elizabeth Vice; his maternal grandparents were Robert Blaine,Major McNutt and Mary Polly Jackson. He had three brothers and a sister, named Martin Robert, William Brice, T. Horton and Annie Caroline. He was the youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James B., Joseph B., J. Miles, Nancy Jane and Frances Catherine.
