Susannah was born on January 12th, 1845 in ,,Bartholomew Co,IN. Susannah's father was Joshua E Crosby and her mother was Catherine Jones. Her paternal grandparents were George Crosby and Susanna Evans. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Joshua, George Washington, John Richard, Amos, David Porter, Angeline C, Nancy Sarah, Ruth Jane, Elizabeth, Indiana and Hettie.
