Jacob was born on May 21st, 1855 in ,,IN. Jacob's father was George Crosby and his mother is Mary Detrich. His paternal grandparents were George Crosby and Susanna Evans. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, James, Amos, Robert, Susannah, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Martha, Annie and Margaret. He is the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
