Amos Stover was born on October 2nd, 1827 in ,Churchville,Augusta Co,VA. Amos Stover's father was Amos Crosby and his mother was Mary Anderson. His paternal grandparents were George Crosby and Susanna Evans; his maternal grandfather was Alexander Anderson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, George Haslep, William, Joshua E, John Richard, Susan, Esther, Rebecca and Mary Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 64 on November 19th, 1891 in ,Cowen,Webster,WV. He was buried in Jack Cut Cem.,Halo,Webster,WV.General Notes
