Alexander Crosby 
Alexander was born about 1813 in ,Churchville,Augusta Co,VA. Alexander's father was Amos Crosby and his mother was Mary Anderson. His paternal grandparents were George Crosby and Susanna Evans; his maternal grandfather was Alexander Anderson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named George Haslep, William, Amos Stover, Joshua E, John Richard, Susan, Esther, Rebecca and Mary Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died on February 15th, 1899 in ,,Augusta Co,VA. He was buried in Crosby Cem.,Churchville,Augusta Co,VA.General Notes
Alexander was a treasurer of the school board of Paster's District. He had no
children per Blanche Swortzel. He went by the nickname Sonny.
!DEED: Alexander owned a house and land in Jennings Gap which he deeded to his
niece Laura Lambert and David Wiseman in 1894. He was Treasurer of School board
of Pasters District.
