Elizabeth E Anderson 
Elizabeth E was born on December 11th, 1813 in ,,Staunton,Virginia. Elizabeth E's father was Alexander Anderson and her mother was Esther Crosby. Her maternal grandparents were George Crosby and Susanna Evans. She had two brothers and a sister, named William Wallace, George Alexander and Martha Ann. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Mary. She died at the age of 69 on February 20th, 1883 in ,,Staunton,Virginia. She was buried in Thornrose Cem.,,Staunton,Virginia.General Notes
Elizabeth was a nurse. She was placed as Manager of Ward in Western State Hospital (head nurse). She lived at her cousin William Crosby's home for 4 years prior to her death. It is said that after her death, her ghost haunted the Crosby Mansion for several weeks. I have a portrait of her.

OBIT: Mrs. Elizabeth Hill died Feb. 20 near Staunton age 72 years 5 months, per March 6, 1883 issue of Staunton Spectator.
WILL: WB 50 p 20 date May 31 1881 probate Mar 26 1883 Augusta Co; granddau. Sarah Elizabeth Hill whole estate; if she dies without issue then to her mother Rebecca Virginia Hill, wife of my son Henry C Hill and dau of Wm Crosby. Wm Crosby executor.
TOMBSTONE: Elizabeth Hill died Feb. 20 1883 age 69y2m9d. She gave 10 grave lot to family of William Crosby.
DEED: DC 59 p 350 Elizabeth E. Hill wife of Richard J. Hill late of Augusta Co to Reuben D. Hill both of whom are now of the said county of Augusta. Whereas Richard J Hill on the 9th day of June 1836 exec. a deed to Reuben for debts, Elizabeth now joins in the deed. "one house and two lots in Mercersville near Jennings Gap in the county of Augusta. May 31 1838 rec. May 1838
