Jacob was born on April 30th, 1818 in Grindstone Fork, Rock Creek, Grayson, Kentucky, USA.1 Jacob's father was James Hollis Williams and his mother was Sena Metzel. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John David, Lewis Hollis, Elizabeth Jane, Margaret Ann, Nancy and Mary E.. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 55 on August 13th, 1873 in Rock Creek, Grayson, Kentucky, USA. He was buried in August 1873 in Williams Graveyard, Downs School Rd In Rock Creek, Kentucky, USA.1 General Notes

"The younger Jacob's widow, Celia SKAGGS, a grand-daughter of Hunter Henry SKAGGS, would donate two acres of her land in 1889 for Little Flock United Baptist Church and cemetery. The church remains at that location (now Missionary Baptist) eight miles east of Clarkson on Millerstown Road....
