Orlando C. WIDDIG
Funeral services are to be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday for Orlando C. WIDDIG, 60, of 1663 Logan St., who died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital.
Admitted to the hospital Jan. 2, he had been ill for nine months.
A life-long resident of Scioto County, he was born Aug. 30, 1898, a son of Chris and mary KOCK WIDDIG.
Employed as a mechanic at the Scioto County garage, he was a member of Holy Redeemer Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie SCHWAMBERGER WIDDIG, whom he married in 1925; two sons, Wayne E. WIDDIG of Buffalo, N. Y., and Donald G. WIDDIG of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Richard BENDINELLI, 1056 28th St.; two brothers, Fred WIDDIG, 2673 Dorman Dr., and Daniel WIDIG, 1527 High St.; four sisters, Mrs. Charles BURNS of Oertels Corner, Mrs. FRank BURNS, 2124 18th St., Miss Josephine WIDDIG and Miss Mae WIDDIG, both of 1527 High St., and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at Holy Redeemer Church with burial to be in Greenlawn Cemetery, under the direction fo Melcher Funeral Home.
Recitation of the Rosary is to be at 8:15 tonight at the funeral home, where friends may call.
