His paternal grandparents are Edward UPTON and Virginia Jane TRANER; his maternal grandparents are Elisha or George W. FLANDERS and Elizabeth or Asaneth HATCH OR SKINNER. He had two sisters named Paralee Brite and Esler Dickey. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 27 on February 25th, 1874 in , Larue, Kentucky, USA.1 General Notes
