William Burdette was born on December 17th, 1896 in Clarkson, Grayson, Kentucky, USA.1 William Burdette's father was Miles Hollis Skaggs and his mother was Mary Thomas Phillips. His paternal grandparents were Martin B. Skaggs and Mary E. Williams; his maternal grandparents were Owen W. Phillips and Elizabeth J. Williams. He had six brothers and four sisters, named George Lee, Albert Lee, Berthel B., Henry Clay, Hilary C., Beckham, Ninnium Dallas Or Mirandalous, Ethel, Lula Jane and Angie B.. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 73 on November 15th, 1970 in Clarkson, Grayson, Kentucky, U.S.A.. He was buried in November 1970 in Clarkson Baptist Cemetery, Grayson County, Kentucky.2 3 -
