Beckham was born on January 7th, 1904 in Clarkson, Grayson, Kentucky, USA.1 Beckham's father was Miles Hollis Skaggs and his mother was Mary Thomas Phillips. His paternal grandparents were Martin B. Skaggs and Mary E. Williams; his maternal grandparents were Owen W. Phillips and Elizabeth J. Williams. He had six brothers and four sisters, named George Lee, Albert Lee, Berthel B., Henry Clay, Hilary C., William Burdette, Ninnium Dallas Or Mirandalous, Ethel, Lula Jane and Angie B.. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 82 on July 7th, 1986 in Clarkson, Grayson, Kentucky, U.S.A.. He was buried in July 1986 in Little Flock Church Cemetery, 8 Miles Se Of Clarkson, Hwy 224, Grayson County, Kentucky.2 3 -
