Elvira was born on May 29th, 1859 in Sonora, Hardin, Kentucky, USA.1 Elvira's father was Gabriel M. Payton and her mother was Sarah Jordan Coleman. Her paternal grandparents were Reuben PAYTON and Jemima Humphrey; her maternal grandparents are Jordan Coleman and Agatha Dewitt. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William Rueben, James, Charles, Maxie B., Marion, Alice, Jemima, Aggie Or Agatha and Clara. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 82 on June 23rd, 1941 in , Hardin, Kentucky, USA. She was buried on June 25th, 1941 in St. Ignatius.1 1 -
