Elizabeth was born on March 7th, 1798 in , Nelson, Kentucky, USA.1 Elizabeth's father was Daniel Foushee and her mother was Elizabeth Slaughter. Her paternal grandparents are John Foushee and Aphia; her maternal grandparents were Francis Slaughter and Sarah Coleman. She had a brother and a sister, named William F. and Sarah Mildred.
