GERTRUDE HELENA DELABAR SOMMER 3/25/1998
Gertrude Helena Sommer 95 of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday March 25, 1998
at Best Care Convalescent Center. Born August 18, 1902 in Wheelersburg, a
daughter of the late Albert Delabar & Mary Catherine Friche, she was a
member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's Women's Guild & St.
Peter's Over 55 Club. Preceded in death November 10, 1969, by her husband
George Raymond Sommer, whom she married November 11, 1924, in
Wheelersburg.She is survived by a son Raymond Edward Sommer of
Wheelersburg; a daughter, Helen Stanley of Minford; 2 grandchildren, a
great-granddaughter.
She also was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carl Aloysius, Edward &
Albert Delabar; & a sister Mary Morrison. Services will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wheelersburg, with the
Rev. Peter Gideon officiating, & interment in St, Peter's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Harrison Funeral Home in Wheelersburg from 2 to 4 & 6
to 9 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
