Franklin Herman Buerling 
Franklin Herman was born on June 18th, 1877 in Distelrath, Dueren, Rheinprovinz, Prussia.1 Franklin Herman's father was William J. Buerling and his mother was Elizabeth Uhr. His maternal grandfather was John Uhr. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Bill Jr., Charles Frederick, Henry E., Paul E., Bernard Otto, Edward F., Albert J., Margaret Elizabeth and Christine. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 68 on September 8th, 1945 in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, USA. Frank BURLING, 68, salesman for the Singer Sewing Co. for 16 years, died Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital after being ill several weeks.
Burling had lived at 3919 Jefferson Avenue, South Norwood, for the past 30 years. Born in Germany, he came to the United States when he was six years old. He had lived in Cincinnati for 36 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Matthew Church, Norwood. Surviving BURLING are his widow, Mrs. Anna BURLING, and four sons, Raymond, Richard, George, of Cincinnati, and Corp. Lawrence BURLING, stationed in Texas.
Requiem high mass will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, St. Bernard.
