2nd/6th Earl of Suffolk. He was knighted at the coronatio
n of R ichard II, July 15, 1377. The proceedings of the Pa
rliament tha t convicted his father were annulled on Januar
y 28, 1397/98, an d he was restored to his father's digniti
es. But the Parliamen t of 1399 again reversed that decisi
on, and he fell again unde r his father's attainder, agai
n forfeiting all his honors. How ever, he obtained restor
ation of most of his father's estates, a nd on November 15
, 1399, he was restored as earl of Suffolk. H e was one o
f the peers who took part in the trial of the earl o f Camb
ridge and lord Scrope, August 15, 1415. He was summone
d t o Parliament from August 19, 1399. He died of the flu
x at the s iege of Harfleur.
