His paternal grandparents were William DE STOURTON and Jane VERNON; his maternal grandfather was Ralph BASSET. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Roger, Richard, Huskin, John, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
