John was born about 1355 in Upholland, Lancashire.  John's father was Thomas DE HOLAND and his mother was "Fair Maid Of Kent" JOAN.  His paternal grandparents were Robert DE HOLAND and Maud LA ZOUCHE; his maternal grandparents were Edmund Of WOODSTOCK and Margaret WAKE. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Edmund, Joan, Margaret and Matilda (Maud).  He died in Pleshey, Essex.

John's second family with Elizabeth PLANTAGENET

‌John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on June 24th, 1386 in Plymouth, Devon.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Richard, Edward, John, Constance and Anne.
