Her paternal grandparents were Louis DE BRIENNE and Agnes DE BEAUMONT; her maternal grandparents were Alexander COMYN and Joan LE LATIMER. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Catherine and Joan. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas (Count), John, Catherine, Isabel, Joan and Elizabeth.
