Alexander CAREW 
Alexander was born in 1439 in Haccombe, Devon.1 Alexander's father was Nicholas CAREW and his mother was Joan COURTENAY. His paternal grandparents were Thomas CAREW and Elizabeth BONVILLE; his maternal grandparents were Hugh COURTENAY and Philippa L'ERCHEDEKNE. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Nicholas, Hugh, William, Jane, Elizabeth and Florence. He died at the age of 53 on September 20th, 1492 in Anthony, Cornwall.1 General Notes
