Thomas came to Ohio from (?Washington Co.) Pennsylvania in 1797. Of four children by Jane Shaw, all but Thomas Jr. died, along with their mother. He married Mary Hill in 1792.
He came to Ohio, with two brothers: Edward and Samuel. Edward went off to the War of 1812, and never returned. Samuel may have returned to ?Washington Co., Pennsylvania to live. Samuel was however, a resident of Ohio in 1818/19, when he was recorded as being a Revolutionary War veteran, having served as a fifer in a Maryland Regt.
