Fay was born on January 30th, 1905 in Gunlock, UT. Fay's father was Robert Henry CHADBURN and her mother was Dinah Ann HUNT. Her paternal grandparents were Henry CHADBURN and Mary Dorinda LLOYD; her maternal grandparents were James WILSON HUNT and Elizabeth Vaughan. She had two brothers and five sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Robert Floyd, Louis Alfred, Jetta, Ruth, Dora, Mildred, Verna, Vaughan and Imogene. She was the third oldest of the ten children.-
