Joseph Seth Barney

Joseph Seth was born on August 16th, 1845 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois and his baptism took place on August 17th, 1845. Joseph Seth's father was Edson BARNEY and his mother was Lillis Ballou. His paternal grandparents were Royal Barney and Rachel Marsh Barney; his maternal grandparents were Seth BALLOU and Sophia Batton Anderson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Danielson Buren, Olney Ammon, Edson Olney Valroy, Alice Malena, Sarah Alcea, Eliza Arabell (or Aribella), Alcea Celinda and Celinda Alcea. He was the youngest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Royal Hyrum, James Alexander, Lucy Matilda, Partha Ann, Lillis Louisa, Emma Jane, Rachel Marsh, Martha Rosetta and Ellen Urselene. He died at the age of 95 on December 26th, 1940 in Escalante, Garfield, Ut. He was buried in December 1940 in Escalante, Garfield, Ut.
