John Witt BARNEY 
John Witt was born on August 1st, 1665 in Salem, Essex, Mass. John Witt's father was Jacob BARNEY and his mother was Ann Witt. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Barney and Elizabeth CATESBY. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Joseph, Israel, Jonathan, Samuel, Hannah, Sarah, Abigail, Ruth, Dorcas and Hannah. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.
