Lady Eleanor of was born in 1244 in Castile, Spain.  Lady Eleanor of's father was III Ferdinand and her mother was Jeanne De Dammartin.  Her paternal grandparents were Alfonso IX Fernandez and Queen of Castile Berenguela; her maternal grandparents were Simon de Dammartin and Marie Jeanne. She had four brothers named Comte d'Aumale and Ponthieu, Luis of, Simon of and Juan of. She had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Alfonso X "El, Fadrique, Enrique, Felipe, Sancho, Manuel of, Fernando, Leonor, Berenquela, Maria and Adelaide Alice.  She died at the age of 46 on November 28th, 1290 in Herdeby, Lincolnshire, England.  She was buried on December 16th, 1290 in Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.

‌Lady Eleanor of and Edward I were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1254.  They had four sons and eleven daughters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Edward, Eleanor, Juliana 'Katherine', Joan, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Nun at Amesbury, Isabella and Alice.
