Charles V "The Wise" was born in Château de Vincennes, Vincennes, France.  Charles V "The Wise"'s father was Jean II "Le Bon" Capet and his mother was Jutte Bonne.  His paternal grandparents were Philip VI "De Valois" Capet and Jeanne De Bourgogne; his maternal grandparents were King of Bohemia & Duke of Luxembourg Jan and Queen of Bohemia Eliska. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Louis I, Jean I "le Magnifique", Philippe II "Le Hardi", Blanche, Catherine, Jeanne, Marie, Agnès, Marguerite and Isabelle.  He died on September 16th, 1380 in Nogent-sur-Marne, France.

‌Charles V "The Wise" and Jeanne were married in a religious ceremony on April 8th, 1350.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Charles VI "The Beloved", Duke D'Orléans, Princess of France and Princess of France.
