Joseph Morton was born on December 19th, 1911 in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Joseph Morton's father was Joseph Redford Caldwell and his mother was Helen Lilley Tyler. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Caldwell and Harriet Smith Morton; his maternal grandparents were Henry Clay Tyler and Cornelia Elizabeth Cusack. He had a brother named John Tyler. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 69 on December 21st, 1980 in Arlington, Virginia.-
