Countess de Bourgogne was born about 1102 in Bourgogne, France.  Countess de Bourgogne's father was Eudes I "the Red" Borel and her mother was Sybille Matilda De Bourgogne.  Her paternal grandparents were Henri I Capet and Sibylle of Barcelona; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume I "The Grand" and Etiennette Stephanie De Longwy. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hugues II "le, Henry and Florine.  She was the youngest of the four children.

‌Countess de Bourgogne and Guillaume III 'Talovas' Montgomery were married in a religious ceremony about 1119 in Elington, Lincolnshire, England.  They had four sons and three daughters, named Gui II, Richard, John, Thurstan, Adela De Talvas, Clemence and Ella Le Despencer.
