Matilda (Maud) was born in 1116.  Matilda (Maud)'s father was Guigues VIII Count d'Albon, Dauphin de Viennois and her mother was Mathilda.  Her paternal grandparents were Guiges VII 'le Gros' Count of Albon and Grenoble and Adelais (Petronel) of Turin; her maternal grandparents were Eadgar 'the Exile' and Miss Miss of Carlyle. She had a sister named Gersende of.  She died after January 1145.1
