William II "Rufus", King of England was born about 1056 in Normandy,France.1   William II "Rufus", King of England's father was William I, "The Conquerer", King of England and his mother was Matilda of Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I, "The Devil", Duke of Normandy and Herleve of Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baldwin V, "Le Debonnaire", Count of Flanders and Adele, Princess of France. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Robert III, Duke of Normandy, Richard, Henry I, "Beauclerc", King of England, Cecily, Abbess of Caen, Matilda, Constance, Adele of Normandy, Princess of England, Gundred, Princess of England and Agatha.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He died on August 1st, 1100 in New Forest,Hampshire,England.1
