Mary was born in Missouri. Mary's father was John Walton. She was an only child. She was buried in G.A.R. Cemetary.General Notes
John was 17 and Mary was 13 when they married in Galena, KS. Carpenter, played the piano. Was mean and beat wife. Tombstone was hit twice by lightening.
Mary was raised by Dr. John Walton. He came upon a wagon that had been attacked. All occupants were dead except a baby girl. He took the baby back and he and his wife raised her.
‌Mary and John F. were married in a religious ceremony in 1886. They had two sons and seven daughters, named Charlie, Samuel, Tencil Violet, Bessie, Grace, JuanitaF, Maggie, Mittie and Pansie.

Tencil Violet was born on July 22nd, 1895. She died at the age of 70 on October 25th, 1965.
