Thomas was born in England and his baptism took place there in 1608. Thomas' father was Nathanial (Nathaniell ) TILDEN and his mother was Lydia Hatche HUCKSTEPE. His paternal grandparents were Thomas TILDEN and Alice Bigge Or BIGGE(BIGGS); his maternal grandparents were Stephen HUCKSTEPPE and Winnifred HATCH. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Joseph, Stephen, Stephen (2Nd), Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Judith, Winifred, Lydia, Lydie and Lydia. He died on January 19th, 1618 in England.
