James Rice Sloan 
James Rice was born in July 1873 in Crawford County,Indiana. James Rice's father was Robert Lot Sloan and his mother was Margaret Criswell. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert Lot, Charles L., Harriett, Rella Mary, Lillian B. and Maude E.. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 63 in 1936 in Indianapolis,Marion County,Indiana.
James Rice and Lillian were married in a religious ceremony on November 26th, 1917.
