Martha STEPHENS 
Martha was born in 1773 in Hillsborough,Chatham,North Carolina. Martha's father was Richard STEPHENS and her mother was Martha ROBERTS. Her paternal grandparents were John STEPHENS and Mrs. John STEPHENS; her maternal grandparents were William ROBERTS and Mrs Eleanor ROBERTS. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, Alexander, John, James, Richard, Honor, (A Son), STEPHENS, Elizabeth, Jane and Honor. She was the oldest of the twelve children.General Notes
