Charles was born on February 5th, 1808 in Franklin,Shelby County,KY. Charles' father was George W. Rodgers and his mother was Elizabeth Pierson. His maternal grandparents were Meshack Pierson and Mary Jennings. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas, Willis, Alfred R., Achilles, William M., Samuel, Daniel, John, Thursa, Nedelie, Mahala, Betsy and Sarah. He died after 1859.-
