Sarah was born about 1750 in Spotsylvania County,Virginia. Sarah's father was Joseph Rash and her mother was Mary Warren. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Rash I and Sarah-------. She had three brothers named Joseph, William and Thomas.General Notes
Lived in Spotsylvania Co. VA until 1776 when they removed to Surry (now
Wilkes Co) NC where they settled on Reddies River. They had 10 children.
Sarah and Robert were married in a religious ceremony on January 10th, 1765 in Spotsylvania County,Virginia. They had two sons and eight daughters, named John, James, Elizabeth, Nancy Ann, Mary (Polly), Rhoda, Sarah, Frances (Fanny), Rebecca and Agnes Jane.

John Shepherd
John was born on August 26th, 1779 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. He died at the age of 24 in 1803 in Rubin,Wilkes County,North Carolina.
Sarah Shepherd
Sarah was born on August 27th, 1782 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. She died at the age of 76 in November 1858. She was buried in Tucker Cem.,Madison County,Indiana.
Frances (Fanny) Shepherd
Frances (Fanny) was born on February 13th, 1785 in Wilkes County,North Carolina.
Rebecca Shepherd
Rebecca was born on September 26th, 1787 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. She died at the age of 48 on September 22nd, 1836. She was buried in Oak Ridge Cem. Dekalb,Illinois.
Agnes Jane Shepherd
Agnes Jane was born in Spotsylvania County,Virginia. She died on March 18th, 1856 in Russell County,Kentucky.
