Mary Elizabeth (Betsey) was born about 1785 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. Mary Elizabeth (Betsey)'s father was Joseph Rash and her mother was Mildred (Milly) Isbell. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Rash and Mary Warren; her maternal grandparents were James Isbell and Frances Tompkins Livingston. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Perry R., Thomas, Son, Nancy, Mary and Daughter. She died after 1830.-
