James Louis Powers 
James Louis was born on May 22nd, 1862. James Louis' father was John S. Powers and his mother was Isophene Gentry. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Powers and Mrs. Cynthia Yarber; his maternal grandparents were David Gentry and Sarah (Sally)D McNeeley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Miles Melvin, William Henry, Marion Homer, Serena Melvina, Emerica Elizabeth and Rose Ann. He was the second oldest of the seven children.-
